From Our Editors
Karen MacIntosh Ritchie isn't interested in snapping pictures of artificial smiles or bunny-ear-laden poses. Rather, she's in the business of capturing those rare moments of authenticity that often slip by unnoticed between the jovial shouts of "cheese." This could be a mysterious gaze, a sidelong glance, or even a grin that's so big and real that it results in closed eyes. That isn't to say Karen isn't interested in carefully arranged aesthetics, though—each shot, whether it's taken in a boudoir, engagement, or family session, boasts an artful and eye-grabbing composition.
