The hint about the humble beginnings of Georgetown's first craft brewery hides in the name—Furnace Room Brewery. Yes, it all started more than 10 years ago in the basement—near the furnace—where long-time friends, Jeff Sandifer and Mike Glockner, decided to brew their first simple extract beer kit. Since then passion has become a profession and after 10 years of occupying the basement, Jeff and Mike were ready to emerge above the surface. With the help and expertise from Mike Dykstra, Trent Chalecky and Steve Leggat, they opened the Furnace Room Brewery at 1 Elgin Street in Georgetown, Ontario in spring 2017. Their four signature beers include Wright House Red Ale, Chicken Man Pale Ale, Dynamo Cream Lager, and Beardmore Kolsch Style Ale and frankly, it's hard no to fall in love with this exceptional beer.
