Final Touch Art Studio, cochraneAbout Final Touch Art Studio
Final Touch Art Studios has been a central part of the Cochrane community long enough that one of its co-owners, Carly Marciniak, began painting there at age 14. After earning a bachelor's of fine arts and apprenticing as a goldsmith, the jewelry designer returned to Final Touch to teach alongside her former instructor, Sharon Kulhavy, who specializes in painting.
But even though Final Touch has been open since 1994, students shouldn't expect a well-worn studio. In 2016, the owners opened a bright, newly renovated space, where each station includes a full-sized easel, a mounted light, an ergonomic chair, and a table for supplies. These stations are occupied by youngsters during summer camps and after-school classes and adults during paint nights and artist-run workshops. Final Touch encourages students to let their creativity run wild through media such as oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and clay.
