About this Business
Take a tour of Wayward Distillation House or visit its onsite tasting room, and you might notice a distinct flavor to the company's small-batch spirits. That's because every beverage here is brewed from honey—all of it regionally sourced from clover fields in northern British Columbia. Workers at Wayward make each spirit from a blend of specialized yeast and pure glacier water, distilling it from mead through a custom-built still that produces complex, honey-tinged vodkas, gins, and liqueurs:
Unruly Vodka: The distillery's signature spirit, this 100% BC honey vodka excites the palate with a sweet nose and vanilla flavor.
Unruly Gin: This blend of local honey and organic botanicals distinguishes itself from English-style gin with a more mellow juniper note that's matched with hints of cedar and sarsaparilla.
Krupnik: A traditional Polish spiced honey liqueur, distillers at Wayward make small batches of this spirit with clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and of course—honey from British Columbia beekeepers.
