Buckling into a stiff pair of ski boots and clicking into skis for the first powdery run of the season provides a thrill like no other. Mont Cascades' peak has 20 trails for skiers to shoot down, in varying degrees of difficulty. Those with a bit of experience under their belts can take moguls down one of four black diamond runs in tight precise turns (or even attempt the double-black diamond). For those looking for a less challenging glide down the mountain, blue and green trails snake between frosted pine trees. And with a full rental and repair shop, a toasty lounge with food and drinks at the peak's base, snow school programs, and even night skiing, Mont Cascades has a day suited to every visitor.
