Peppered bacon vodka is exactly the kind of out-there artisanship that Crosscut Distillery produces with their grain-to-glass spirits, having taken inspiration from old-world, small-batch distilling. Opened in 2018, Crosscut Distillery works with local harvesters to gather its oats and wheat as well as the botanical ingredients that he adds to each of the products.
Visitors can peek at the 18-foot-tall still and sip on cocktails at the on-site tasting room. An unexpected selection of mixers, like grapefruit cordials and maple bitters, can also be purchased at the distillery.
