Northern Axperts turns a time-honored tradition once reserved for lumberjacks into an activity nearly anyone can participate in. At four locations across Ontario, it welcomes able visitors of any age into its axe-throwing facilities, where thick particleboard lines the walls and floors and chainlink fencing safely separates throwing lanes.
For groups of visitors, coaches take the lead, teaching them how to properly hurl hatchets toward a bull's-eye, then letting them compete against each other in a round-robin tournament. These axe experts also stick around to sling hot tips during walk-in times, when a flat fee gives each person access to the throwing area and lounge.
