What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Permanent makeup also known as micro-pigmentation is an innovative method of skilfully depositing colour pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to simulate natural looking, or well defined makeup. It is an excellent way to enhance ones natural beauty, avoid reapplying and achieve perfect symmetry every day! From brows that perfectly frame your face, lush looking lips to eyeliner that wont smudge, run or fade we work with each client to achieve their own definition of permanent perfection. Additionally, all technicians have trained under world renowned Basma Hameed who can be seen on various CBC features, The Doctors, as well as Vogue Magazine and would like to bring our experience obtained through her to Regina and surrounding area.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Having a family member with Vitiligo (the loss of melanin in the skin) and witnessing the devastation it can bring, founder Nicole Skamanis came to discover there is no known cure for the skin condition. In her search for treatment options, she came across an ancient art form with a modern twist, micro-pigmentation. This variation of traditional tattooing would allow for artificial pigment to be added back into the skin at the dermal level. From that point on, she knew she could make a difference in peoples' lives, and created the Meláni Clinic, providing options to individuals with various paramedical conditions as well as the desire for cosmetic treatments such as makeup.

What do you love most about your job?

Being able to enhance and restore ones natural features and having clients that are satisfied with the transformation is what is cherished most about this job. Additionally, each client is different in what they desire and as a result keeps things forever exciting. Aside from the technical aspect, it is very much customer focused and having a strong ability to communicate is foundational in achieving client expectations.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

There is no greater feeling then tears of joy. For some individuals undergoing a procedure is solely to enhance what they already have, saving time in the morning, or to avoid the monotonous reapplying throughout the day. For others, it is about rebuilding what might have been lost as in the case of cancer treatment. Regardless of the individual reasons, satisfaction is always a rewarding feeling and is what we strive to achieve with each and every client.
