About Wonderstuff

In 1988, magician and entertainer Dave Wilson founded Wonderstuff with a simple goal: to add a touch of whimsy and magic to parties and events around his native Calgary. He later passed the business to his good friend and fellow entertainer Janice Shoults, who carried on Dave's mission in Edmonton. in 2011, the two longtime friends finally admitted they liked each other as more than just business partners. Now, the husband-and-wife duo devote their days to Wonderstuff's eclectic range of services. Read on to learn more:

• Magic shows: The magic shows of Wonderstuff are led by Dave's newest character: Cornelius Copperpot, an eccentric inventor and magician versed in sleight of hand and the art of making kids laugh really, really hard.
• Balloon art: Touted as a "Master Twister," Dave is also well-acquainted with the art of transforming balloons into intricate, belief-defying sculptures. Specialties include everything from bunnies and puppies to princesses and guitars.
• Face painting: Janice handles face-painting duties, using her deft brushwork, skin-safe paints, and characteristic friendliness to add kitty whiskers, flowered garlands, and even full-scale fantasy scenes to cheeks and foreheads.
