About Hawthorne Food and Drink
Hawthorne Food and Drink serves good food for a good cause. With Head Chef Olivia Simpson at the helm, the restaurant cooks up local-inspired, seasonal, and sustainable dishes, while also providing free hospitality training and career development for the unemployed.
But the good deeds don't stop there: Hawthorne is also a member of the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance FeastON program, which means it utilizes ingredients directly from Ontario's farms and Toronto's neighborhoods to achieve an ever-changing menu. Hawthorne Food and Drink offers a seasonal menu that features dishes from the garden, farm, and the water. Each dish is prepared from scratch by grinding local beef for our “juicy” burgers to hand rolling pasta for our “dreamy” pappardelle. We take pride in supporting vineyards and breweries across our province thus offering VQA wines and local brews.
