What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

We offer salt spa sessions, also known as halotherapy (from the Greek word “halo”, meaning salt). A salt spa replicates a stay in a natural salt cave microclimate or at the seashore on a dry sunny day. It is a comfortable place to unwind, rejuvenate, and boost the functioning of your respiratory system as you breathe in the healing salt air. Salt rooms create a sense of detachment from the bustle of everyday life, enhance your respiratory health, and provide a relaxation effect and sense of emotional wellbeing.

Halotherapy is a method made possible by a special device, called a halogenerator, which micronizes, disperses, and controls concentrations of very finely ground salt particles into a salt room where clients relax in comfortable chairs. Salt rooms, used widely in Europe, are known for the many health benefits they provide.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Inspired by the natural, pleasant and effective saline microclimate treatment that was widely available in Europe but was unavailable in North America, we started our business in 2001. Our goal has always been to help people with breathing conditions with drug-free complementary treatment options as well as to help people who have no breathing discomforts to enhance their respiratory functions and to detoxify respiratory system.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most is seeing our clients benefit from halotherapy sessions. Many people are helped by the saline microclimate and are happy with the results.
