From Paris to Amsterdam

Travel to Western Europe this summer with a trip to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Luxembourg with Vacances Sinorama.

Days 1 to 5: Montreal meets Paris

Paris is not world most famous city for tourists year after year for nothing. It’s iconic attractions are world-renowned and include such emblematic sights as the Eiffel Tower, the banks of the Seine river, the Arc de Triomphe, or the Champs-Élysées.

  • A classic guided tour: Tour Paris from the Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tower, by way of the Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées, and Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral.
  • The Louvre: Admire the some of the most famous works of art in the world at one of the world’s largest museums.
  • Montmartre: Take in the sweeping sights of the city and admire the architecture at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica.
  • Val de Loire: This UNESCO world heritage site, alternatively baptized “The Garden of France”, is home to several awe-inspiring châteaux
  • Château de Versailles: Another UNESCO world heritage site, this historic monument is one of the most beautiful representations of French art in history.

Day 6: Paris, Bruges (Waterloo from March 26 to May 14) and Brussels

Made famous notably by its “frites” or French fries, its chocolate, and its beer, Belgium is a country with plenty to offer. In the flat, rolling plains of Belgium one can admire a rich and fascinating folk culture while hiking in Flanders, reading Hergé in Wallonia or going for a stroll in Brussels.

  • Flemish gems: Take a lovely walk through the Medieval streets of Bruges, a city also coined the “Venice of the North” (visit to Waterloo instead of Bruges from Mar 26 to May 14).
  • Guided tour of Brussels: Admire the Grand Place, the Maison du Roi, the Atomium, and the statue of the Mannenken Pis.

Day 7: Brussels, The Hague (Keukenhof Gardens from March 26 to May 14), and Amsterdam

The Netherlands is a colourful country known for its penchant for tulips and windmills, open-mindedness, tolerance and justice. A bike ride is the ideal way to explore the many canals, museums, and lively neighbourhoods that make up Amsterdam, the de facto European capital of liberal youth.

  • A stop in The Hague: The seat of Dutch government, this city is home to the Peace Palace which itself is home to the International Court of Justice (from Mar 26 to May 14, the visit to The Hague is replaced by a visit to the Keukenhof Gardens, the largest tulip gardens in the world).
  • Zaanse Schans: A typical Dutch village where you can visit windmills, horseshoe makers’ workshops, and cheese farmers’ workshops.
  • Amsterdam tour: After a stop at a diamond factory, take a cruise along the city’s canals.

Day 8: Amsterdam, Cologne, Bonn and Trier

Germany is a country rich in tradition. There, visitors may discover one of the largest cathedrals in all of Europe in the city of Cologne or head on over to Bonn, Beethoven’s hometown.

  • Guided tour of Bonn: Visit the old office’s of the country’s federal government, as well as Beethoven Square.
  • A stop in Trier: Tour Germany’s oldest city, not to mention the birthplace of Karl Marx.

Day 9: Trier, Luxembourg and Paris

Nestled between Germany, Belgium and France, Luxembourg is one of the smallest nations of the European Union, mais it is likely the most “European” of all. It is a multicultural melting pot where music, literature and gastronomy collide.

  • Guided tour of Luxembourg: Visitors admire sights such as Constitution Square, Adolphe bridge, and the Palace of the Grand Duchy.

Day 10: Return from Paris to Montreal
