In good or bad weather, guests of all ages are invited to visit an unusual farm. The ostrich, an exotic and impressive bird, is at the heart of the safari at the center Nid’Otruche.

• $14 for a guided safari visit for 2 adults in off-season ($29.89 value)
• $23 for a guided safari visit for 2 adults and 2 children in off-season ($47.14 value)
• $20 for a guided safari visit for 2 adults in peak-season ($29.89 value)
• $29 for a guided safari visit for 2 adults and 2 chilren in peak-season ($47.14 value)

The off-season lasts from May 1st to June 21, 2015 and the peak-season ends August 16, 2015.

Through the farm’s natural trails and wooded trails, guests meet the three species of ostriches with diverse personalities. With the guides’ supervision, visitors also get to observe the chicks in the center’s nursery and they can even touch certain birds.

The safari reminds guests of Jurassic Park and specialists explain the similarities between the ostrich and its ancestor, the Gallimimus.

If they want to, guests get to enjoy ostrich meat, a refined meat that is low in calories.

A new small farm with 30 animals is on site. Customers can touch the animals and see them from up close.

Nid’Otruche

Located in Saint-Eustache, in the Basses-Laurentides, the ostrich center offers guided visits and a kiosk with different plates with ostrich meat, such as hot-dogs, hamburgers, poutine and more. Experts raise three species in a natural and safe environment. At the store, ostrich eggs, meat, oil, soap and other souvenirs are available. On site, children can enjoy an outdoor playground and visit other farm animals, such as ponies, goats and rabbits.
